I've asked many questions, and finally decided to introduce myself!
We just finished building our pool (the wife and I designed and built it ourselves acting as the General Contractor).
It is a 13,000 gal in ground gunite pool with a 1.5' extended "lagoon" step and waterfall.
Here's some other stats:
1.0 HP Pentair Whisperflow pump
Pentair "Clean and Clear" 4-filter monster cartridge filter
Hayward Navigator auto-cleaner
BBB method since the first week
TFP-100 test kit
3M "Quartz" interior
We are in Marana, AZ so the temperatures in the summer are regularly over 105 degrees. Plus our home backs up to some farmland, which blows in a lot of dust at certain times, both of which may lead to some interesting discussion topics.
I've already received great help from JasonLion, Waterbear, and many other great TFP contributors, and really couldn't have done it without their help.
