Vermiculite Questions

If all goes well, my crew will be putting down the vermiculite this weekend.

1. How soon does it "dry" or "cure"?
2. Will rain hurt it after its dried? I need to measure and order the liner so will have about 2 weeks between bottom and liner drop.
3. Can I walk on the vermiculite without leaving impressions?

Like concrete it continues to cure but should be pretty firm in 24 hours.

If I suspected rain, I would cover it with a tarp.

It's pretty soft but you can walk carefully on it.

If there is rain in the forecast I wouldn't put vermiculite down. Built a 24x 50 had severe storms in the forecast for three days. Watched three skids of pool base fill the deep end. Had to redo the entire pool base pour all over. I would go ahead and order your liner then pour pool base to match.
