A coworker just purchased a house that has an inground pool and he wants to install a Hayward Offline Chlorinator on his system. He asked me a question I never thought about before...if you have only flexible PVC between your pump and your filter, can you still use the saddle clamp setup?
My recommendation for him was to drill the hole in a PVC elbow and attach the clamp there. He wasn't sure if the flex pipe leaving his pump to his filter had an elbow. If it doesn't, it would be easy to put one in, otherwise, is it OK to just install the saddle fitting of the flex PVC?
