Dirty old filter

Good morning, I picked up a Sta-Rite system3 S7m120 filter and pump motor for almost free. It was one heck of a stinky ride in my car. The filters were both covered in green algae. I soaked them in a trash can of 1 pt muratic acid to 20 parts water for a couple of hours. I then sprayed them off.

Here is a picture. Are the filters still good? they both have dangling retaining straps that go around the circumference of filter. They were like this before the soaking.

No, they need to be replaced once a strap breaks.

Thanks, I was afraid of that. Will these not last at all? I will also need to clean up a swamp pool and don't want new filters to go through that.
