Reference an earlier thread

I entered a new question earlier this evening but wanted to refer to an earlier discussion. That is, I was saying something like,

"I was reading someone's question 'here', which made me wonder ..."

and I want 'here' to be a link back to that earlier question so that people can read what I'm referring to.

Is this possible? If it is, a quick cheat sheet would be much appreciated.

In the full editor you insert a URL tag. In the middle you would put "here" in the first tag you would put the url like this

(url=http.thread.address)here(/url)

But with square brackets.
