Compupool CPSC48...how much chlorine does it produce?

Having a 40k gallon pool built and nearly complete.

The Compupool CPSC48 says it's ok for up to 60k gallons.

I am seeing inconsistent output ratings on this unit.
Ranging from 1.2 to 2.5 lbs/day.

Anyone having success with this unit on a 40k gallon pool?

According to CompuPool, the CPSC48 is between 2.4 and 2.5 lbs/day of chlorine when run at 100% for the full 24 hours under ideal conditions. That is equal to roughly 3.5 gallons of 8.25% bleach. There are a couple of places that have different numbers, but CompuPool says those sites are incorrect.

CPSC48 [4] Maximum output is 1.28 lbs/day.

Just a comparison:
Pentair IC40[4] Maximum output is 1.40 lbs/day.

When I visited the Compupool corporate headquarters in Apopka, FL they said the NSF site was correct. (I specifically asked, and they looked it up.)

I see the specs on their site say 2.5 lb/day.

Unless they are deliberately being dishonest, I figure that unit should suffice.

keep in mind that the output is measured at specific temperature/salinity and may fluctuate with those parameters changing

Is the cell on the CPSC48 a true 2" ?

I'd hate to choke the plumbing with a cell smaller than my pipe.

1.5 goes on the inside of the fitting, 2.0 on the outside.

I called CompuPool direct and they confirmed what bobodaclown said. 1.28 lbs./day.

I mentioned to them that the output ratings on the web indicate it produces 2.50 lbs./day.
They responded, "We can't police every web site out there."
I responded, "Why don't you start with your own web site, since it also states 2.50 lbs./day."
They responded, "That hasn't been updated since 2009, but we are working on it."

Argh....
