Replacement Pump Outlet Unions What to buy?

Just fixed a few issues with my pump not holding prime and sucking air on the inlet side, that's fixed after re-lubing all the pump seals and PVC union seals. But now I'm trying to fix what started out as a small leak on the outlet side of my Pentair SuperFlo pump housing. The pool building for some reason didn't use a pump union kit, the only way to unscrew/screw the pipe is turn the whole pipe assembly (see photos). I need to replace the PVC and use some real pump unions to stop the leak, but I'm not sure which unions to buy.

Pentair Unions made for the SuperFlo pump, I think these unions use the outer threads on the pump inlet/outlet. (not sure why the pool building didn't use these)

Any thoughts? I need to buy one of these ASAP to get this fixed... I tried resealing the current pipe but it really needs to be redone and is still leaking.

    Thanks for the help!

Get the ones for the Superflo. The are likely a Pentair proprietary thread.

Do you know if the Pentair unions use the outer threads on the pump outlet? The specs on the SuperFlo show this: Unionized fittings (1.5 in. internal slip and 2 in. external slip) I'm wondering because I think the inner threads might be slightly cross-threaded. Thanks again.

Yes they use the outside threads ... I have a Superflo.

The specs mean you can "glue" a 1.5" PVC pipe into the fitting or use a 2" coupler on the outside of the fitting to attach to 2" PVC pipe.

Great! Thank you. Do you think I can cut out the current threaded PVC pipe (bottom piece) and glue the Pentair union to the PVC reducer below the 90 degree elbow or should I redo the all the PVC piping above the pump?

If you cut right where the pipe gets smallest, you should have enough to put a coupler there and then may need another coupler below that to attach to the union fitting. You will just have to see if it fits ... is that 1.5" pipe or 2"?

The pipe is 2", thanks again for the help. Looks like Amazon has the Unions in stock, this is the part I need right?
