Hayward pool cleaner

hey guys, I have the hayward pool cleaner below

and it uses these silly plastic tubes which are constantly having leaks and causing the cleaner to lose pressure. Does anyone know if it's possible to replace these things with some sort of hose?

The last one of those I worked on, well, wait, I will not work on them. That is a good concept, poor execution thing. I replaced the one customer's that had one with a Polaris 280.

why wouldnt they use a hose? i dont get it
