    White film

We have just filled our outdoor pool and this year there is a white film on the top. Not foam but a chalky white film, which when stirred up clings together. I put my hand in and came out with a white chalky ring around my arm. What is it? And how do I get rid of it?

    Pollen, maybe?

Are the windowsills and the patio furniture also covered with dust?

Troublefree does not mean Maintenancefree. It's like brushing your teeth: You can spend a couple minutes a day and pennies a week or go to the dentist once a year and spend several thousand dollars.
A pool is like a pet - you have to feed it every day, even the days you don't want to play with it!

Thanks for the reply. Someone else said pollen. That is yellow here, but the film is white.
Could it be a miss match with the chemicals?

Probably not. More likely airborne. Got a pic? That might help. The skimmers should have it removed by now, anyway, if it's floating.
