    Sanitizing & PH Control

Moved into house with 20K pool -plaster. What is the best way to sanitize and control PH? Have seen ads for salt systems, metal purification (ionizers) ozone systems uv systems, auto controlers which read water and auto ad chlorine and or ph. Specific manufactures of systems would also be o help.

    Welcome to TFP!!!

This is such a general question, I am just going to point out some links that will hopefully allow you come be a little more specific:

pool-school/ ... Pool School can be found at the button in the upper right of the page

Bottom line: UV and ozone are worthless in a residential outdoor pool. Chlorine is the best / cheapest santizer. You can add the chlorine to the pool in may ways.
