Loop Lock Cover Repair

Afternoon all,

Some of the Plastic on the underside of the LoopLock Cover is separating from the Black Out Cover. I want to sow this back together, has anyone ever done this? What is the Thread that is used? And Needle Size? Not sure if its all Canvas or Plastic.
