BBQ Grill Build in Chandler, AZ

As part of our pool build (see my sig) we are having a built in BBQ grill built by the same company. I thought I would post the pics of the construction for others to see a masonry build with a travertine top. They are going to be finishing this next week, so I'll post pics of what I have so far and then update after it's all done next week.

The top is a solid concrete slab with rebar in it and some type of backing underneath. The top will eventually be travertine to match the deck and patio.

The grill is just about done! Needs to be hooked up to gas and the walls painted. We love the way the travertine top (pavers) turned out with the bull nose edging and the tile border.

Thanks! It's a very simple BBQ grill island. We weren't trying to do an outdoor kitchen. My wife is an excellent cook and has an amazing kitchen inside. We just wanted a nice area to be able to grill and serve food and drinks from when outside at the pool.
