    When pump is off....

    do I leave the valve open or do I close them? Sorry about asking questions that probably seem trivial to you all but I really have no clue!

    You don't need to change anything. Just leave things the way you normally have them.

    There are no silly questions. We all started out not knowing these things at some point.
