What do I do with the old/bad pump I just replaced?

It's a 1hp Hayward Superpump. I'm assuming a scrapyard would want it. Would anyplace give me money for it?

BTW, it was still functional, but making a VERY loud whine/scream.

replace the bearings & seals and sell it, or sell it for the copper in the motor

Who/how do I sell this thing for copper? Craigslist, or just find a scrapyard? What is it worth?
