Matrix pool sand question

How far should the sand come up on the bottom wall cuff of the matrix pool. I am using the foam cove. I don't see anything in the instructions about this.

I never found an answer to this when I did mine. My cove was notched in the back so, to me, that meant the rail was supposed to go in there. So I put the cove on the ground and then brought the sand up to it, tamping gently where the 2 overlapped.
I've seen pics of cove on the ground and cove on the pool sand. If my cove had no notch in the back I would have put it on top of the sand.

Third season with mine and no problems.
