This is our 2nd season with our 24' above ground pool & SWG...our first season opening & we're a little lost! We know our salt generator cell needs to be cleaned because our unit told us so right before closing last Fall. We have read to use muriatic acid or white vinegar?? Just wondering what everyone else uses & how...Thanks!!

Have you actually looked in the cell and seen scale? The Hayward AquaRite turns on a light every 3 months or so to remind you to inspect, but does not necessarily mean there is anything to clean.
