building a deck around the skimmer

we are building a deck around our agp and we are still trying to figure out the best way of going around the skimmer and still having easy access to it. If someone could give me some ideas or pictures it would be greatly appreciated!

Can you add a removable panel,so the skimmer can be accessed from the top of the deck?The panel would only have to be big enough to allow the lid of the skimmer to be removed for cleaning.

A panel that lifts off would work or even put some flat hinges on it to flip open (although then you may be stepping on the hinges)

That's probably what we are gonna do. Just trying to see if there were some better ideas out there.

Put the deck on the other side of the pool! Just a thought

If I used a piano hinge, I'd do it this way ???? where Omega is the hinge and the part on the right swings up out of the way. That keeps the hot metal below bare feet!
