Filter Leaking

Hello, My pool has been open for weeks. No problems with pump or filter.
Today I swicthed my 3-way valve from my returns to my jetted tub for the first time,
for more then 1min. My filter is now leaking from what appears to be the filters tanks
O-ring area under the handle.

I have an Hayward Pro Series filter,and a 1hp Northstar pump(Hayward)
Any thoughts why it started leaking after I ran the jetted tub?
How would I stop the leak? Thanks in advance!!

The filter pressure would have been higher when switched to spa mode, though the seal should still have been able to handle it. You will probably need to open it up and examine the O-ring and the surfaces that bear on the ring to make sure everything is smooth. Then lubricate the O-ring with a silicone pool lube, put it together again and see if that solves it. If the O-ring is nicked or cut it will need to be replaced.
