I think I have my Filter and pump hooked up wrong

I have purchased a new pool and I am at the point of hooking up the Sand Filter and Pump. The instructions provided, weren't very clear to me, so I am asking you to review to make sure its hooked up correctly.

I have the SKIMMER to RETURN of Sand Filter
I have the Top of PUMP to PUMP (label) of Sand Filter
I have the Pump Basket to Pool Inlet.

I think it should be SKIMMER to PUMP Basket
and
RETURN of Sand Filter to POOL Inlet.

The hose from the skimmer goes to the intake of the pump then pump to filter and filter return to the side of the pool.

The suction side of the pump is skimmer and return side means returning to the pool from the filter.
So you are correct- you need to switch them.

Yep, it looks like your sucking in the return and spitting out the out the skimmer
