which floor inlet covers works best?

Hello, New pool owner here...

I'm planning to raise the bottom of my pool to provide a level (or nearly so) play area for my boys for volley ball, basket ball, etc. I thought that some in-floor inlets would help "sweep" the area. Any suggestions on which design works best?

Any suggestions on the best height for the new floor (they're only 3 now, but they'll be bigger soon enough!) I not going to add a special cleaning "system," just add a few more returns.

Any suggestions on rebar attachment/frequency, fill material (old chipped-out plaster, sand???), should plaster be removed in the area where the floor is going to be raised and or where the new gunite will bond? Any special bonding "agent" for the cold joint between old and new gunite?
