    Cya black dot never disappears

So...what does it mean when the cya tube black dot never disappears?

My test results with the tf 1000 are
    Fc. 2.5
    Cc. 0
    Ph 7,2
    Ta. 60

    Is this ok?

It means your CYA is less than 30 (or is it 20 on the TF-100?) Sounds like you should get some CYA in the pool. Put it in an old sock in front of the return.

Depends on how well you can see the dot.

Thanks! I'm going to put a sock in tomorrow. The water is still cool. Only 60 degrees but the kids have been swimming!

A sock full of stabilizer aka CYA aka cyanuric acid. That's the best way to dissolve the granules so they don;t mess up the filter or the finish.

Troublefree does not mean Maintenancefree. It's like brushing your teeth: You can spend a couple minutes a day and pennies a week or go to the dentist once a year and spend several thousand dollars.
A pool is like a pet - you have to feed it every day, even the days you don't want to play with it!
