Hey guys, my jandy o ring broke, pool stores closed today so I tried to just put the old one back on and limp until Monday ! I got the old o ring back on but now I can't get the pump to prime, is the o ring probably the cause of the of the pump not priming or do I need to look elsewhere ? Thanks

It is very difficult to get a pump to prime when the lid isn't sealing correctly. Even a small gap in the o-ring will let lots of air in and prevent priming. Try again when you have a replacement o-ring.
If the old o-ring isn't broken and you have some pool lube, you can try putting lots of lube on it and see if it'll seal good enough.

Shave a little of the o-ring on either side of the break. Superglue the ends together. You might get lucky
