TA and PH drop

Happy Friday.

So I really had the water chemistry dialed in for a couple of weeks and then POW! ph drops from 7.5 to 7.2 and TA drops from 75 to 60 in one day.

Wednesday PM Results:

FC - 6 (still working on getting the SWG timed correctly)
CC - <.5
TC - 6.5
ph - 7.5
TA - 75
CH - 275
CYA - 60 (working toward 70 now that SWG is up)
Borates - 50
Salt - 3500

Thursday PM Results:

FC - 5.5
CC - <.5
TC - 6.0
ph - 7.2
TA - 60
CH - 275
CYA - 60 (working toward 70 now that SWG is up)
Borates - 50
Salt - 3500

My ph and TA have been rock steady for well over a couple of weeks now so I was surprised to see the sudden change. What could have caused this? The only change is the SWG was finally cranked up on Monday and the pollen is really crazy here in Atlanta now. Could it be from pollen? I have not added any additional fill water recently nor have we had significant rainfall (until late last night).

Aerating now to get the ph back up - just surprised to see the sudden drop.

Add 20 mule team borax to get your pH up. It's quick and won't drop your TA like aeration does.

No explanation for your sudden change.
