Help for staining

Hello everyone. We just had our first winter with our pool and I need help removing stains in my pool. I am not 100% percent what caused them, but it appears to be from the leaves falling into the pool. Since it is so warm here, we did not close the pool for the winter, but it did get a lot of leaves. We vacuumed every couple of weeks, but they still piled up. We kept the water maintained and balanced.

Now, the entire pool is covered with a brownish-orange stain that I cannot get rid of. I super-chlorinated to about 40 ppm and it is not really doing anything for the stains.

Any thoughts? BTW- the pool is fiberglass – no metal at all in the pool.

Have you tried holding a vitamin C tablet on a place for a few seconds?
How about a trichlor tablet?
How about a magic eraser?

No to vitamin C. Yes trichlor tablet. No magic eraser and that would really suck. I can't imagine using a magic eraser on the entire pool.

Try the vitamin C and if it doesn't work it's probably just tanins and keeping the FC to the top of the recommended level will slowly lighten them over time.
