Is there a better time to run the pump?

Is there a better time to run the pump? For example 6 hours during the day, or during the night?

If you have tiered electric rates, the cheapest time is the best time. Otherwise it really makes no difference.

If you do your testing and dosing every day as soon as you get home from work, then set it to circulate for an hour before you get home so it's ready to go when you are.

Troublefree does not mean Maintenancefree. It's like brushing your teeth: You can spend a couple minutes a day and pennies a week or go to the dentist once a year and spend several thousand dollars.
A pool is like a pet - you have to feed it every day, even the days you don't want to play with it!

Call your electric company to see if you have off peak rates. Mine are at night. I run mine for a while during the day and the rest of the time at night

A lotta folks here with pumps plugged into timers split up their run times too.

You didn't mention a SWCG so I'd go with the advice provided.
How long are you running your pump?
