TA / pH advice

Pool had some metal staining. I treated it with some Sparkle Conquest. The product worked wonders with the staining in about 30 minutes. However, my TA is now 50 and pH is 7.2.

I have a pool heater so I'm wondering is the low pH could be problematic with the heater's copper exchanger. I'm thinking about just adding some borax to raise the pH.

Since pH changes affect TA, do I just adjust pH and see if I need to make further adjustments for TA?

That's correct but I think I would leave it right where it is. Almost all pools have a tendency to rise in pH naturally so I would simply test both parameters once a week or a bit more often and see what happens.

A pH of 7.2 causes no harm to your heater but I wouldn't go below that
