Deck building question

We had a 24 ft above ground pool installed two years ago and I plan on building a deck this year. My main question is how far from the pool do the 1st posts go? I live in New York and was required to have the bonding wire 18 inches from the pool around the perimeter. I am thinking that I will run into this wire as I am digging the holes for the post.
Any help is appreciated, Thanks

Seems logical to me to put the posts as close to the pool as practicable maybe a few inches. Wouldn't this get you inside that wire?

It all depends on the style of the deck you're building. My posts are set about a foot from the pool wall at each section.
