I just tested today...my ch in this area is always high, so I didn't test that, but...
FC 12.5
CC 2
CYA 80
ph 7.5
salt 2640

I need to shock don't I? BTW, I know that FC is too high. I messed up last weekend when I was getting the pool cleaned out and ready. Never do that when you're not feeling well. I sent the water to shock level before I even tested the water and skyrocketed the FC. It is slowly going down.

Yup, you should go through the shock process.
And your FC is not that high ... will have to go up to around 30ppm for the shock process.

Remember too that the pH test reads artificially high when the FC > 10ppm.

I think bama may have nailed the source. I would simply keep the chlorine elevated around 15ppm for a couple of days and then run cc's test again.

Your water is clear...correct?

If you still have cc's after a couple of days of sunlight, then you will need to do the shock process but (like bama) I think the sunlight and slightly elevated chlorine may do the trick.
