Getting Cold (briefly)

I found a few old threads on cold temps after opening pool and I am pretty sure i am safe but, just making sure. I opened over this past weekend and water temp is 52. Expect temps to bottom in the mid 20's tonight and tomorrow night (daytime temps around 50). I will be running the pump 24/7 anyway until clear.

As lonmg as i am running, no worries about cold correct?

Also, i have an accessory pump for a water feature (stone waterfall) and can keep it running as well but, would it also be safe to simply open the pump's hopper and allow the pipes to drain down to the pool water level? The feature pump does not run through the filter and has no shut off valves just a switch to turn the pump on or off.

THX!
