Vernon, BC Canada - Pool is in Maricopa AZ (currently a holiday place)

    Solar Covers and Pool Lighting

We have a new pool we built in AZ and have intellibrite lights in it - we love the look of the pool in the evening. Now the problem is that we realize when we heat it we lose a lot of heat overnight when the air is cold so really should use a solar cover while we're heating it (we only heat when we visit as it's a vacation home).

The problem is balancing the ambiance of the pool/lights with having a cover on it (the pool pretty much fills the yard). Those of you with solar covers, are you able to see the lights through it or do you just go for the practicality of the cover?

    Any advice would be appreciated
Inground 12500 gallon 96 foot perimeter, 24 by 24 pool (6 by 24 of which is a "wet deck" or tanning ledge), intellibrite in spa and pool, 2 pentair LED bubblers in tanning ledge, built in table in pool, spillover spa, pebble radiance, Pentair Mastertemp 400K BTU heater, Blue Square Q360 infloor cleaner, VS2050 pump, auto leveler, Pentair easytouch 4 with wireless controller, Pentair 420 filter, custom natural gas firepit with cobalt glass.

There are clear bubble covers available, or you could use a chemical cover such as Aquatain while you are out around the pool in the evening.
8.5k gallon IG pebble sheen play pool with Intellitouch control, Intellifo VF, IC 20, Rainbow tab feeder (not currently in use), Pentaire mystery cartridge filter with labels faded to the point I have no idea on the model, Intellibrite 5g LED light, Hayward Navigator. Adding IntelliPh and Crestron control next.

We just got a cover. We got a clear one so our Jandy watercolor LED lights would shine through them. Works great.
Gunite/Plaster pool at 13k gallons. All Jandy with CL340 series cartridge filter, 1.5 HP Jandy Stealth pump. Jandy 1400 SWCG and PDA4 controller. Dual waterfalls. Polaris 280. Pool installed August 2012. Southern Louisiana. And lets not forget my trusty TF100 test kit!
