EasyTouch Mounting

Getting ready to have an EasyTouch 8 installed on the side of our house. PB indicated he could fasten to our vinyl siding or put on a separate post next to the house. Was leaning towards having it directly on the house for maximum stability and protection from the elements (roof overhang helps).

However, I am thinking it will "mash" my vinyl siding if bolted tight to the house. Found these spacers (attached images) for use by awning systems, but think they would work great for an EasyTouch.

Anyone have an easier/cheaper solution?

Those look like they would work fine. Just know that the Easytouch panel is quite heavy and beefy, so be certain to tie the bolts into the studs in the wall. In a pinch, a handful of galvanized washers would also work to prevent crushing of the siding.
