On my 3rd year of the BBB method and I’m as pleased as punch, but have a question for you astute members. I believe I have had the same CH reading since I started, but can’t remember.
15,500 gallon in-ground gunite pool circa 1975.
pH = 7.35
CYA = 35
FC = 10 (normally 4-7, but just the tail end of the winter shock)
TA = 100
CH = 60 (!!)
I just dumped 10# of baking soda in the pool yesterday to raise the TA from 30 to 100 and I thought it would also raise the CH, but it didn’t.
Should I worry about this? Will the low CH level eat the gunite?
