Swimquip Sta-rite sand filter part number?

Hello.

I have a swimquip/sta-rite HRP sand filter that is pretty old(I didn't install). I'm having a hard time figuring out exactly what model I have. There is HRP20, HRP24, and HRP30 from what I have seen looking for laterals.

Is there a dimension I can measure that would tell me the exact model? I do have the serial number as well.

The model number is the diameter of the shell. You should be able to measure the shell top diameter and that should tell you the model you have.

Thanks! So basically remove top, turn over and measure the diameter at where the seal sits?

It's the OD of the top section. You don't have to take it apart. You probably won't measure it at exactly 24" or 30" but it'll be close.
