So my wall adapters pegs broke so I need to replace it. I figure this would be an easy fix, but apparently not. Seems the previous owner used some kind of silicon on the UWA threads when installing. The unit is stuck and after trying with channel locks it broke so only the threaded part is still in the wall.

I am curious of what you folks think as a possible way to get it out. All I can think at this point is to hacksaw carefully and hope I can take it out in pieces - my concern is the silicon they used and that its going to be stuck very bad.

thoughts?

Funny after posting I went this route. I put in a pair of pliers as it was wide enough. I then used the channel locks on the pliers to twist it and it finally broke free. See pics.
