16x32 Oddyssey Build

I ordered the kit from Royal Pools. They shipped promptly and provided very good customer and technical service.

We have a tight spot for the pool so we went with a free form so we could install it at an angle to the house trying to maximize space. At our old place we had a rectangular 16x32 and were trying to get something close to that size.

16x32 Oddyssey 8' deep end Type II diving pool right curve
25K Aquarite Cell
1.5hp Hayward Superpump
Ranger 25" Sand Filter
8' roman steps
Cantilever coping around steps and pool
1 skimmer, 3 returns
2" piping
500W Hayward light

Pool plan and work is looking good

If you still have the option, I would consider going smaller with the pump and 2 speed. A 1 hp or maybe even a 3/4 hp superpump would be a better choice.

After many rain delays - Day 7

5/8 plywood seems to be doing a good job at protecting the driveway

Pouring the footer tomorrow then plumbing on Monday if all goes as plan.
