We have a major leaf problem and got a manual vacuum that hooks up to the skimmer. My wife clogged up one of the valves with leaves. Twice! At least the second time I could fix it. I got the Hayward Standard Leaf Canister W560 with the intention of putting it the line of the vacuum. It has a 1 1/2 inch line with connectors on each end that will slide into the skimmer intake. Is there an adapter available to help me or a good old fashioned backyard solution?

You could cut your hose a few feet from the wall and attatch a new hose cuff to each end, then place the canister between the two segments.
I thought of something like that. I guess I'll just have to browse the pool store and see what I can find. Thanks

You can also get a short section of hose (3') from Lowes or even the pool store. This will go between the canister and suction port.
I ended up going to Leslie's. They had an attachment that fit the input and a 1 1/2 inch coupling for the output. cut the hose and slipped it on. No problem. Just wish Hayward gave you some instructions or hints.
