Mighty Vac vs. Q Vac vs 5 HP shop vac

Hey All,
In your opinion which vac is better to set in-ground liners with? The Balboa 2.75 HP Mighty Vac, the Q Vac, or a standard 5 HP shop vac?....and why? Also is a smart box (auto vac and water shut off) a good investment? We have been using our 5HP shop vac and I am shopping for another, but don't know if the other options are really any better than another shop vac.

Most consumer shop vacs are not designed for continuous duty and that would be the drawback of using one of those for setting liners especially when the set is protracted over several hours or even overnight. Also, realize that a so called 5 hp shop vac is really only about ½ hp or less. A 5 hp motor at 120 volts would draw about 50 amps.

It's a marketing ploy. They call it peak hp which is roughly equivalent to the locked rotor amps. It's completely useless.

Q Vac all the way I have hung liners with all of the above
