New member with question

Hello all, just joined the forum and just purchased a house with an older Jacuzzi brand hot tub. I've filled up the tub for the first time with soft water from the house and have it heating up. My question, could someone advise me or point me to another topic that covers what I need to do/add to the water for this first fill-up? I'm a little familiar with checking ph balances and whatnot, but not so much with hot tubs.

Have you stared reading through Pool School (button at the upper right) to get a better understanding of the chemistry?

Thank you, I've been bouncing ideas off of friends as well, so slowly accumulating knowledge.
