Gas Pressure Regulator question

Hi,
I have a question regarding gas pressures for the Hayward H250FDN. We're on 2 psi and I'm going to use a Maxitrol 325-5AL 1 inch regulator. It's taking the 2 psi down to 7-11 inches water column and gives me 300k btu/hr. The manual on the hayward says 10.5 inches water column max inlet pressure. Is this OK or do I need a second press reg to bring it down further to say 4 - 6 inches water column? Or will the reg built in handle the slightly elevated pressure?

Thanks,
DZM

Hi DZM,
Your regulator should be good as is. It has an adjustable output from 7-11" wc but should come preset to 10"wc. You would not want to reduce the pressure any further as that would cause problems with the burner efficiency.
