Coping Overlay/Cover Up

I'm looking at possible options for covering up my existing exposed aggregate concrete around my in-ground pool. Me and my wife agree that we would like a cantilevered style look. Are there any options that would allow us to achieve this new look without having to replace the existing coping? Possibly a DIY project if it doesn't get too in-depth (I re-tiled the pool myself 2 years ago). I have just recently started looking into this since we have the same opinion of exposed aggregate concrete as most people. The kids don't like walking on it, and it also doesn't help that it gets so hot in the summer.

We are updating our pool and backyard in stages and depending on the cost, we may take on the challenge this summer.

Any options, tips, or opinions are welcomed.
