replacing with an Intelliflow VF

I am getting ready to replace my wisperflow with an Intelliflow VF. the contractor was looking for specifics about the wiring, pentair manual is vague. They say to put it on a dedicated circuit but give no details beyond needing 230 v. does anyone have some specific criteria for this job? :?:

You ought to have a 20 amp, 2 pole, 230 volt circuit breaker dedicated to the pump.

What Jason said. In addition, it should be on a GFCI protected circuit. 20A 220V GFCI breakers are not cheap, but this is a small price to pay for safety and ensuring the installation is code compliant.

I would also recommend surge/lightning protection. There have been several reports of Intelliflo drives failing due to power surges and/or lightning strikes.
