    Hello from the Carolinas

After a few years on this site I figured it was time to introduce myself with a less confusing username.

I first started building pools as a summer college job in 1971 and was captured into the excitement of this industry. After being a subcontractor for a couple of years, I started Artesian Pools in 1976. Its been a long learning process and there is still a road ahead. Each new job provides a palette and canvas for a new adventure. The satisfaction of watching a customers family enjoying the pool you built for them is extremely rewarding and will always keep me excited and looking forward to the next project.

This site is a breath of fresh air for the pool industry and its capacity to debunk the myths associated with pool ownership and provide solid information has long been needed.

Hats off to the many well informed and not so well informed contributors that we can all learn from.

    Thanks, Rod
