Putting in a new stamped concrete deck for the barbecue, fire pit and more seating area. I'm in the process of getting the utilites plumbed where the slab will be. I'm running a 2" gas line under that will be connected to the house at a later date, this will allow the addition of a pool heater if I choose. The line will also "T" off and supply the barbecue and fire pit. This is the area approx 1 year ago.

Looking good so far! Looks like a lot of shovel work. Make sure you run extra water and conduit to anywhere you could conceivably want it! PVC is cheap.
Yea, that's what I didn't do when the main deck was poured, this time I have extra's installed.
The gas wont be installed until January 2nd +- so things will slow for a while, really wanted to just get the ground leveled and compacting now. Expect to be ready to pour by 2-1-13 approx depending on the weather.
Gas will go in tomorrow. here's what it looks like now. Not very impressive at this point. Also here is a pic of some speaker covers we made to prevent them from being stolen / messed with since the pool is approx 150' from the house and we live on a country road.

Gas lines in, Waiting on the pressure test to fill in the trenches, hopefully Saturday. once the forms for the deck are in place they will make the stubbed out lines through the deck the correct length and reduce them to 3/4". I guess that is enough for a fire-pit or barbecue.

I ended up having some plumbers do it, and they used a long coil of 1 1/2" PE for the 125' run to the pool equipment pad. They used a plate welder to weld the PE pipe fittings and risers to the PE itself. Did you add a tracer wire?
The lines under the deck are 2" steel gas pipe that has the yellow plastic coating, you then wrap any of the fittings with this special 10 mil tape so they are protected also.
The main supply from the house will be the plastic line you are talking about so there will need to be a tracer wire attached to it. There will only be two fittings required, one being the riser by the gas meter, the other a coupling that will attach to the 2" steel gas pipe. from what the supplier told me these are "friction" fitting that all you do is push them on to the end of the plastic and some kind of O-ring will seal it. Seems strange to me but I guess since the pressure is so low it works. The fittings are made of steel. The material to run 170' of the 2" plastic are approx $450.00, digging the ditch 18" deep min will be the hard part, at least we have fairly soft earth.

Things are slowly coming together, got the barbeque moved to the patio this saturday, I was able to make some fork extensions that will clip to the bucket of my tractor. Using a front loader as a forklift is harder than you might think as the hydraulics don't work as smooth as a forklift's would, plus driving down a dirt road is a lot rougher than it looks, when I got to the deck it was "leaning" supported by a couple ropes I had tied to the bucket, they were 3/4" nylon and they were stretched tight. Fortunately I was able to get some blocks under it and it rocked back to level as I released the ropes. After that 4 people were able to do the final positioning. I'll get some pics here shortly. Next up is the nat gas line.
Here are a couple pic's of the new patio. All the brown river rock was a free-be on craigslist, I had all that in the back of my p/u, I think it was a bit overloaded.
