    Calcium Hardness Treatment

I was just curious if anyone has rigged a system to reduce the calcium in the pool water similar to a whole house water softener system.

There are some commercial units but none available in your area. Typical house R/O units are not a good choice for removing CH from pools as the waste stream is quite a large portion of total flow. In most areas of the country it's less expensive to drain and replace the water.

There are some members that redirect all the house roof rain run-off into the pool. They partially drain the pool before storms and then refill with the rain water to lower the CH of the pool.

Not exactly what you are asking, but one method to lower the CH.
