:? Hi summer is approacjing and I am just installing a second hand but as new chlorinator for my 48 000 litre freeform kidney shaped pool. The pool has not been chlorinated through the winter and while the water itself is clear the sides are well endowed with green algae.
In the past I have ended up emptying the pool water blasting it all cleaning and refilling. this time of course I have to sart up with that salt addition. Any reccomendations with respect to this clean and start up as to sequence of events.
Many thanks
Rayna J

Follow the normal shock process as described in Pool School. When you pass the 3 tests to stop, then you can get the SWG running. A SWG will not raise the FC fast enough to clear a pool.
