Left over trichlor pucks after pool closing

What should I do with half-dissolved left-over trichlor pucks after I closed the pool for the winter?

Is there any way to safely dispose of them? Should I pack them away and use them next year?

Let them dry out and put them in a plastic bag until next year.

Yes, but you should still put them in a plastic bag.

Is this because of residual moisture being a concern?
If it is - the addition of small silica packets inside the bag will help avoid any moisture from causing problems inside the bag.
