I have Oklahoma Flag stone coping... I developed an iron stain below the tile line on the pebble tech plaster from water dripping down off the stone.. Pool builder used Muratic acid on the stain, but it only made it darker.. Instead of light redish brown stain, it's now almost black.. Any way to fix this? The stain is below the water line

If it is a metal stain, you can try rubbing a vitamin C tablet directly on the stain. Or you can use ascorbic acid if the stain is too big to deal with by hand.
The muriatic acid will not work on metal stains.
