New Build-DFW Area

Hey guys, I'm an newbie. This is my first pool and have been trolling on this site for a few months. Just started the pool construction last Saturday. Gunite is set for Tuesday or Wednesday. Pool size is approx. 28'x15' free form pool, with a SWG. I live in McKinney and the pool builder is Cody Pools. Let me know what you think!!! Will post more pics as construction proceeds.

Robbie, definitely will be!! Told the wife I am jumping in regardless when it finishes, so have the towels in the dryer and ready for me!!!

Gunite is set to shoot today at 10, so will post pics later tonight or tomorrow.

Gunite was completed yesterday with tile and coping to start tomorrow. Question about watering gunite, currently I am watering morning and night, for about 15-20 mins each time. Is this enough watering or should I try to do a little more/less?

Man, that's a deep pool!

It just looks that way, it will go from 3.5' to 5.5' to 4.5'. I thought it looked deeper but when I got in to water it, its about right.

You are watering plenty if you are doing it day and night. I am in Allen and they started our pool, NOW FINISHED , in August and it was still hitting the 100's then. I watered it twice and day then and had no issues. With the perfect 80s we are getting right now you should be golden.

BTW I saw your first picture and it looked like my first pics too

The pool is nearing completion. All that is left to do is plaster, we are doing cody pebble (pool builder is Cody Pools) which is similar to pebble tec and sundek on decking and existing patio. I love the way it has turned out so far and cant wait to see the finished product. Should be completed this week
