Opened to cloudy water, but not green! Yay!

I opened my pool up this past week after becoming one of the BBB faithful last year, and am glad to report that, although the water was a bit cloudy, it wasn't the pea green soup it was last year when I opened it. I did a quick check with my K-2006, and found my Cl-0 (expected), pH - 7.4 (great), TA - between 80 - 90 (also great), and my CYA around 20. So, we have CYA in a sock over the side, and added bleach this evening to shock level.

Interesting tidbit - I went ahead and put a skimmer sock on the skimmer basket, and have had to clean it three times already. It wasn't just dirty, it was caked up with **** coming out of the pool, so much that it was giving the pump some grief. Better in the sock than in my filter, though.

    You're done SLAMing when:
    1)You lose 1ppm or less FC overnight, & 2)You have .5ppm CC's or less, & 3)your water is clear.
