I just ordered a 12 mil clear solar cover. I can imagine pollen, leaves, acorns... landing on it. What's the best way to clean it off before removing it? I can see a few options:

1. vacuum?
2. pull it towards you and fold debris into it, then shake it off.
3. pull it off let it fall into the pool and the skimmer and cleaner take care of it.
4. power leaf blower to one end, then vacuum it (or scoop it out)

I just roll the cover off. If stuff falls into the pool, it isn't much and my auto vac usually gets most of it. If there are some leaves, I find it's just easier to let them fall into the pool and I net them out before I go for a swim.
